Rogers High School Student Wins Car as part of the McLarty Daniel Attendance is Key Program.

McLarty Daniel Automotive is finishing up their 2nd year of acknowledging area high school students’ attendance achievements with the McLarty Daniel “ATTENDANCE IS THE KEY” car giveaway. There are four participating schools Bentonville, Bentonville West, Rogers and Rogers Heritage.  Today was the last of four giveaways this week.  We were at the Rogers High School for the drawing.
Rogers High School Principal Lewis Villines and Rogers New Technology High School picked and read off names of 10 eligible students from the drawing.  Each student had a chance to hit the switch until there was a lucky winner. The nine students who didn't start the car received a $100 Gift Card. They only made it to number 4 and the car started!


Brianna Adair, student at Rogers New Technology High School, ended up with the lucky key that started the Nissan Sentra.  She becomes the last of four winners to win their very own car.  Click below for interview. 




Congratulations to all the students who work so hard this year to have perfect attendance for the 2nd year of Attendance is the Key program.

We Had a Chance to Check Out the New "Time Traveler" Ride at Silver Dollar City in Branson!

We had a chance to check out what is going on this summer at Silver Dollar City in Branson!  Silver Dollar City is located in Branson, Missouri and is a major theme park for the whole family. Not only are there over 30 rides and amusement park attractions but there is 40 shows a day, they have a brand new attraction that everyone is talking about!  This ride is the first of it's kind in the world the...Time Traveler!


The Time Traveler inspiration comes from the 1800s and a clock making family business.  This ride has two linear synchronous motor launches with a Dive Loop, Zero-G Roll and a Vertical Loop which is the first and only in the world.  Watch the Crew as they try out the ride for the first time, then speak to the attraction supervisor Derek Tague about the ride.

With the new ride comes a new food area!

As part of the new ride attraction, Silver Dollar City created a area around the new ride.  This includes plenty of fun places to eat! Check out some of what  you will find in the new Time Traveler food area.

McLarty Daniel Automotive is finishing up their 2nd year of acknowledging area high school students’ attendance achievements with the McLarty Daniel “ATTENDANCE IS THE KEY” car giveaway. There are four participating schools Bentonville, Bentonville West, Rogers and Rogers Heritage.  Today was the third of four giveaways this week.  We were at the Rogers Heritage High School for the drawing.



Principal Karen Steen read off names of 10 eligible students from the drawing.  Each student had a chance to hit the switch until there was a lucky winner. The nine students who didn't start the car received a $100 Gift Card. They made it to number 7!



Andrea Gomez ended up with the lucky key that started the Nissan Sentra.  She becomes the third of four winners.  Click below for interview. 



There will be two more drawings held this week at the remaining schools:  Rogers

Student at Bentonville West High School Wins Car as part of the McLarty Daniel Attendance is Key Program.

Claudia Rangel Castillo ended up with the lucky key fob that started the Jeep Renegade.  She becomes the second of four winners.  Click below for interview.

The Arkansas Anime Festival announced their musical guest for this year's festival... Rock Band "Kazha"

The Arkansas Anime Festival announced their musical guest will be the international rock band from Japan, KazhaThis is a rock band you don't want to miss! The Anime festival will be held in Bentonville, Arkansas June 29th through July 1st.  
Kazha is a 3 piece rock band from Japan. Members of the band are lead singer and bassist Kazuha Oda, guitarist Hideki Matsushige and drummer Futa Sugano.  Kazuha Oda has worked with world wide performers including Grammy award winner Bob James.  The band's work has appeared in iTunes top 100 charts in several different countries.  The band's first album was released in 2010 "Overture" and released a second album "Evolution" in 2013 and they are working on their third.  The band has been touring nationally throughout North America and will play for the first time in Bentonville.

The Arkansas Anime Festival Announces Special Guest Voice Actor Jeremy Inman

The Arkansas Anime Festival Announced special guest Voice Actor Jeremy Inman!  The Festival will be held in Bentonville, Arkansas June 29th through July 1st.  
Voice Actor Jeremy Inman is known for voice of Android 16 of DragonBall Z,  JJ in Yuri, on Ice, Taurus in Fairy Tail, Magellan in One Piece and Yo in Dagshi Kashi.   Jeremy is doing full time voice directing for Funimation.   Go here for more info on Jeremy Inman.

Parrot Island Waterpark of Fort Smith, AR to hold the 5th Annual Kid Ducky Derby Saturday May 19th.

Parrot Island Waterpark of Fort Smith, AR is partnering with STEPS Family Resource Center to bring you the 5th Annual Kid Ducky Derby and Family Festival on Saturday, May 19!  The 5th Annual Kid Ducky Derby will be held at Parrot Island on Saturday, May 19th. Kick off the day at 11:00 a.m. with the Family Fun Festival! Visit with local non-profits and food trucks, play carnival-style games, and enter into a raffle drawing to win awesome prizes!
