The Arkansas CW Crew checks out Room 210 at the Basin Park Hotel

After our ghost tour through the Basin Park Hotel it was time to check out one of the first two room we would be staying in.  First was room 210.  Just walking down the hallway to the first room was quite the experience for the crew.  We heard footsteps when there was no one there and our hair stood straight up on our arms as if someone had rubbed static electricity on them.  There were also orbs in the hallways, as you can see in the picture posted above.  This is article two of three.  Follow us through our journey below.

The Crew checks out Prairie Grove Battlefield

The Crew had a chance to check out one of America's most intact Civil War Battlefields located in Prairie Grove Battlefield State Park.  This was the location of the last major Civil War engagement in Northwest Arkansas on December 7th 1862. This battle between the Confederate Army of the Trans-Mississippi and Union Army of the Frontier resulted in 2,700 casualties.  We had a chance to chat with couple of the park rangers overseeing the park.  Check out their interviews below.

The Crew Checks out the Clayton House in Fort Smith

As part of our Do the Ozarks series...The Arkansas CW Crew had a chance to check out the Clayton House in the Belle Grove Historic District in Fort Smith.  It has a lot of history during the Victorian period which at the time it was the city;s frontier beginning on the boarder of Indian Territory.  Below check out what we found out while we took a tour of the museum.

The Italianate-style mansion is also used for weddings and private gatherings with its stately parlors and expansive grounds.  The historic Clayton house is located at 514 North 6th Street in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

Howling 3k Fun Run benefiting veterans needing service dogs

Howling 3k Fun Run and Halloween Fest this Saturday October 20th from 9 am to Noon at Veterans Memorial Park by Lake Fayetteville. This will benefit veterans needing service dogs.  There will be lots of things to do including costume contest, vendors, One mile dog walk, silly dog competition, food and prizes.  The Fun Run and activities will be a $20.00 onsite registration fee at 8 am.  Children 10 and under are free.  (tee shirts are for paying attendees) Bring Your Dogs!

With the month of October comes fall and Halloween fun!  The Arkansas CW Crew powered by McLarty Daniel stopped by the Halloween Festival at the Castle of Muskogee in Oklahoma.  Morgahn, Jeremy and Devante couldn't wait to find out what goblins and ghouls awaited them on our visit.  Watch interviews below.

Board member speaks about the program that Service Dogs Of Distinction provides for veterans.

"Service Dogs of Distinction" is a non-profit organization with the goal of providing quality service dogs to veterans.  They utilize sheltered rescued dogs and match them with veterans who suffer from PTSD, TBI or related illness.  We had a chance to speak with Service Dogs of Distinction's Treasurer David Martin about the program. Watch his interview below.





Service Dogs of Distinction Treasurer David Martin is President/CEO of Allegiance US, a leading corporate communications firm in Little Rock. David has more than 30 years experience in a career that emphasizes economic development and education initiatives that require strategic planning and marketing. He has completed projects in more than 35 countries and is a recognized expert in marketing/public opinion research.  He has appeared on Capitol Hill to provide insight regarding political public opinion research. David created and implemented the Evidence-Based Marketing model, utilized by his firm to, provide enhanced accountability on behalf of clients. 



Many PTSD, TBI Veterans don't drive, don't answer the phone, don't go outside in public, don't interact with strangers and resist assistance.  These rescued dogs bring hope to veterans and a chance for a better life.

The Arkansas CW Crew is looking for a new Crew Member!

The Arkansas CW Crew powered by McLarty Daniel is looking to add a new member to its team!  Do you have what it takes to be a part of the Crew? Gifted with a special talent for entertaining?  Do you have charisma and a lot of personality?

We are looking for one individual that is outgoing, energetic and have the gift of gab and at least 18 years or older to become a member of a team of 5 members for The Arkansas CW Crew.  It's an opportunity that's fun and flexible and gives you a great community experience! 

This paid position puts you in the middle of the action at some of the year's biggest events. You will be meeting viewers from all walks of life, engaging fans online and in person, plus interviewing some really cool people.  You must be able to travel.  We operate out of Rogers, Arkansas and travel all over NWA, the River Valley, Fort Smith, Oklahoma and Missouri  

We will be holding an open casting call in Fort Smith at the 40/29 and The Arkansas CW Women's Living Expo located at the Fort Smith Convention Center or You can apply online by completing one Arkansas CW Crew Audition application, Provide links for photographs. (you can also use  your phone to record a message on why you should be picked for the crew and provide link in application but it is not required.)

President and Co-founder Don Gardner talks about training at "Service Dogs of Distinction"

"Service Dogs of Distinction" is a non-profit organization with the goal of providing quality service dogs to veterans.  We spoke with the President, Co-founder and Trainer, Don Gardner about his role and their training program.


Co-founder and trainer Don Gardner is from Arkansas and has 30 plus years of experience in training dogs. Don trained as an arms and explosives K-9 handler/trainer in England with the British military personnel.  Don and his dog teams have participated in searches for Harrods of London, Marine One, NASA, U.S. Postal Service, U.S. Secret Service, F.B.I., terrorism task force and many others.  He believes that god gave him a gift to train dogs to help others and creating the "Service Dogs of Distinction" organization has been Don's life long dream.
