CW Mid-season Schedule



The Cw network has released the schedule for mid-season.  Here is the info you need to get ready for the changes.

DC’S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW will move to Tuesdays at 8p starting January 24.

SUPERNATURAL will move to Thursdays at 7p starting January 26.

RIVERDALE will premiere on Thursday, January 26 at 8p

THE 100 will premiere on Wednesday, February 1 at 8p.

REIGN will premiere on Friday, February 10 at 8p.

THE ORIGINALS will premiere on Friday, March 17 at 7p.

IZOMBIE will premiere with back-to-back episodes on Tuesday, April 4 at 7p & 8p.



Also a few shows on the schedule will finale in Mid-season.  Here is a list of the shows that will finale:

NO TOMORROW – Tuesday, January 17 at 8p

FREQUENCY – Wednesday, January 25 at 8p 

CRAZY EX-GIRLFRIEND – Friday, February 3 at 8p

THE VAMPIRE DIARIES – Friday, March 10 at 7p (Series Finale)

DC’S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW – Tuesday, March 28 at 9p

Thank You For Donating Turkeys!

We want to thank everyone who came out and donated at the 40/29 and The Arkansas CW Feeding Hope Turkey Drive.  We raised over 3,000 turkeys and other donations for NWA Food bank and the River Valley Regional Food Bank. Butterball matched a 1,000 donated Butterball turkeys and Ocean Spray donated cranberry sauce.  Thank you all for your donations!

IT'S TIME FOR A2F!!!



It's time for the Arkansas Anime Festival in Springdale!  This Weekend!  Get your tickets now!  On November 18th, 19th and 20th the Arkansas Anime Festival will be held in Springdale at the Holiday Inn Convention Center.  The Arkansas CW is proud sponsor of Arkansas Anime Festival! He is the voice of Rentaro from "Black Bullet", Run with "Akame Ga Kill", Moral on "Hamatora", Ausra from "Souleater"and Greed from "Fullmetal Alchemist".

Phil Parsons



Voice of Dragonball Z's Nappa

Phil parsons is an American anime voice actor who works at Funimation.  He is best known for voicing English dub of the Dragon Ball Series. Some other animes he was voice actor in was Black Butler: Book of Circus-Cedric and Burton, Overlord-Nigun Grid Lewin, Tokyo Ghoul-Renji Yomo, Noragami Aragoto-Kugaha and many more.  He also was a nominee for best male supporting vocal performance for voice of Azazel from High School DxD new.

Voices, Stunts and FX Makeup

Samantha Inoue-Harte is a established entertainment veteran.  She is a producer and partner at Animetropolis.  She is a 16 year voice actress in over 40 Japanese anime and video game titles. You may know her work from:  Final Fantasy Unlimited, Sakura Wars, Samurai X, Tekken the Motion Picture, Trinity Blood, Sin City, Grindhouse, Planet Terror and Idiocracy.

Feeding Hope Turkey Drive this Friday!



On Friday, November 18, 40/29 (KHBS/KHOG-TV) and The Arkansas CW encourage Northwest Arkansas and River Valley residents to help feed our neighbors in need by donating to the 4th annual Feeding Hope Turkey Drive.


40/29 News anchors, reporters, The Arkansas CW Street Team, station volunteers and Feeding Hope Turkey Drive partners will be collecting uncooked *turkeys from 4:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. at these primary drop-off locations:

Rogers - Walmart Super Center, 4208 Pleasant Crossing Blvd.

Fort Smith-Walmart Super Center, 8301 Rogers Avenue


*For every Butterball turkey you give, your donation will be matched, up to a total of 1000 Butterball turkeys.

The River Valley Regional Food Bank and their agencies will also be collecting turkeys at these River Valley Walmart & Neighborhood Market locations:

The Arkansas CW Crew explores Walmart's Toyland event.




  Walmart held Toyland yearly event in Downtown Bentonville on Friday November 4th.  Toy makers from across the country took part in the celebration to showcase the toys topping every child’s wish list for Santa this year. There was celebrity guests and your favorite Disney characters, children’s activities, food and an opportunity to test out the top toys of the season.  

Drew had a chance to talk to some of the vendors, met some of your favorite characters and checked out some of the new toys.   

We spoke with Weston Teshima with the Walmart Toys division. Senior Manager of Sales for Disney, Holly Sestak. Senior Director of Toys for Nickelodeon, Kevin Martin.


We ran into some special visitors to the Toyland event from Disney's Descendants 2, Mitchell Hope who plays King Ben & China McClain who plays Uma. Check out their interviews below!

Drew checks out the Walmart's top kid tested toys for Christmas.

Walmart polled hundreds of children to see what toys they wanted to add to their Santa wish list. Hundreds of kids from ages 18 months to 12 years old were given some of this years hottest toys to play with and chose their favorites.   Drew had a chance to check out some of the top toys on their kid tested top toys at the Pleasant Crossing Walmart with store manager Tina Budnaitis.  




Now, Drew decided he wanted to try out the Walmart exclusive game Pie Face Show down for himself.  Check it out! Can he win?

Robert Watkins visits Fort Smith's Women's Expo



Robert Watkins who plays Dillon Quartermaine on General Hospital spoke at the 40/29 and The Arkansas CW Women's Living Expo in Fort Smith this past weekend.  He answered questions about himself and the show.

40/29 & The Arkansas CW Fort Smith Women's Living Expo will be returning to the Fort Smith Convention Center on Saturday and Sunday, October 29-30.

The Expo offers 175 diverse exhibits, fashion shows, makeovers, health screenings, popular chefs, book signings, enter to win contests and giveaways galore.


Show Hours: Saturday 10am to 6pm and Sunday 11am to 5pm. Tickets: $7 general admission; $5 with a discount card available at all Harps Stores; children 8 and under are free. Taste of Home Class Tickets: 1 class & entrance to Expo $14.

Beastmode for the Brave Benefit Concert held Friday



 Dustin had an opportunity to sit down with the co-founder of Beastmode for the Brave, Talon Smith, to talk about tonight's event and the overall message of Beastmode for the brave.

Dustin also had the chance to talk to Justin Roberts, director of " No Greater Love" winner of 2016 Best of the Fest award at BFF, and "Run Across America" a film documenting runner George Chmiel's journey across the country.

Destroy your documents for a good cause! -Local Shred event



It's time for 40/29 and The Arkansas CW's community shred event this Saturday, October 22nd, From 9:00 AM-11:00 AM.  You can bring up to 5 small boxes of personal documents and cash donation to locations in Fort Smith, Fayetteville and Siloam Springs.  


Shredding documents is one of the easiest ways to prevent identity theft, said 40/29 and The Arkansas CW President and General Manager, Shawn Oswald. We are extremely happy to partner with Shred-it, Arvest, The Northwest Arkansas Mall and our Feeding Hope partners to give our viewers another opportunity to stay safe.
  
*please note: 5 small boxes maximum per vehicle. No businesses will be allowed to shred documents personal documents only.  Once trucks are full or we reach the two hours we will shut down the line.

George Chmiel makes it to Texas! Beastmode for the Brave

 George Chmiel continues his run across America for the Beastmode for the Brave run.  As of October 16th, George was 29 days into his run completing 899.82 miles of his two month journey.  George started his run across America on September 11th in San Diego, California.  


He has ran through California, Arizona, New Mexico and has reached Texas.  He will arrive in Arkansas later this week for a concert to benefit the Guardian for Heroes Foundation on Friday October 21st at Cross Church 6:30PM with Jeremy Camp
