Arkansas Anime Festival announces special guest A. E. Taylor


Arkansas Anime Festival-River Valley Edition announces special guest upcoming Fan-Fiction Writer A.E. Taylor! The anime festival will be held in the Fort Smith Convention Center on May 26th-28th.

We spoke with the film director Kavi Raz about the film "The Black Prince"

Jenna spoke with writer/director Kavi Raz and consulting producer Travis Cloyd about their film "The Black Prince" based on a true story and being showcased at the Bentonville Film Festival.  Check out the interview below.







"The Black Prince" is the fascinating true story of the last King of the mighty Kingdom of Punjab.  Maharajah Duleep Singh character evolves and is torn between two cultures.  He is facing constant dilemmas because of this.  His most impactful relations in the film was with Queen Victoria.  The Black Prince begins a lifelong struggle to regain his Kingdom.

Dustin speaks with the director of the documentary Mothers in the Middle

Dustin sat down with the director of the documentary "Mothers in the Middle", Lauren Hollingsworth.  "Mothers in the Middle" screening is Saturday May 6th at 4pm at the Cinetransformer Apple Blossom at the Bentonville Film Festival.  Check out the interview below.


The documentary "Mothers in the Middle" is an intimate look at the challenges of being full-time working mother in America.  They follow five middle-class mothers juggling parenting and jobs while dealing with major life changes.

Director William H Macy's film Krystal a Spotlight film at BFF

Jenna had a chance to sit down with William H Macy, Director and Rachel Winter, producer of the film "Krystal".  "Krystal" is a Spotlight film at the Bentonville Film Festival.  Check out the interview below.




"Krystal" is a comedic drama about a man who never had a drink in his life.  After meeting a woman an ex-hooker-stripper-junkie-alcoholic he pretends to be in AA to get closer to her.

Local film finds its way to the Spotlight at the Bentonville Film Festival

Painted Woman is a western produced locally by Chasing Sunsets Productions, a Northwest Arkansas based Production company.  This is their first feature film and already landed in the Spotlight Screening at the Bentonville Film Festival.  The film was shot in various places in Oklahoma.  Starring Stef Dawson (The Hunger Games Trilogy) David Thomas Jenkins (Return to the Hiding Place), Kiowa Gordon (Twilight Saga), with Matt Dallas (Kyle XY) and Robert Craighead (Tyler Perry's Too Close to Home).

KHBS/KHOG and The Arkansas CW back on DISH Network

Hearst Television announced that the signal for KHBS/KHOG-TV(ABC 40/29) & KHBS/KHOG-DT2 (THE ARKANSAS CW), and for the rest of its 30 television stations have been restored on DISH Network.

“We are grateful to once again have Hearst Television stations providing DISH customers the quality local and national programming which we invest so heavily to offer our local communities,” said Hearst Television President Jordan Wertlieb. “We are thankful to DISH subscribers and to our supportive advertisers for their extraordinary patience during this prolonged process.”

The Crew visits the Museum of Native American History


As part of our Do The Ozarks Series, We had a chance to check out the Museum of Native American History in Bentonville, Arkansas.  It is Free to the Public and Handicap accessible. The Museum is located at 202 SW O Street in Bentonville.
The museum is divided into to five different time periods that will guide you through the changing lives of the Native American, seen through their artifacts.  There are relics that date back as far as 14,000 years.  



Dustin spoke with the Museum of Native American History Director Charlotte Buchanan-Yale.  Check out what she had to tell us about the museum!










From June 2nd through the 4th, 2017, The museum will be hosting a Native American Cultural Symposium.  They will have writers, performers, storytelling and outdoor film series. Guest will include Bobby Bridger, John Inmon, Joseph Marshall III, Jr. Mathews, Gayle Ross, Sam Scinta and Fulcrum Publishing.  There will also be a Native American Fashion Show. The Museum of Native American History Participates in NWA Fashion Week


We had a chance to catch up with Charlotte Buchanan-Yale the Director of the Museum of Native American History here in Bentonville.  We spoke to her about their involvement and some of the jewelry worn during during the Northwest Arkansas Fashion Week runway shows. 


The Museum of Native American History is Free to the public to visit.  They are open  Monday- Saturday 9 AM to 5PM.  It is located at 202 SW O Street Bentonville, Arkansas.


Baseball is in full swing in Northwest Arkansas!



The NWA Naturals opened up the season last night in Springdale at Arvest Ballpark.  It was a great night for baseball, unfortunately the Naturals fell to the San Antonio Missions 4-0.  The night was capped off by The Arkansas CW Fireworks spectacular.

If you missed the fireworks last night don't worry, a second night of fireworks is schedule for tonight.  So cheer on the Naturals as they take on the San Antonio Missions, then end your night with a bang with The Arkansas CW Fireworks Spectacular.  If you can make it tonight there will be chances this season to catch The Arkansas Cw Fireworks Spectacular.  To find out when the next fireworks show is click here!

The Arkansas CW Crew is looking to add a new member to its team!  Do you have what it takes to be a part of the Crew? Gifted with a special talent for entertaining?  Do you have charisma and a lot of personality?

We are looking for one individual that is outgoing, energetic and has the gift of gab and at least 18 years or older to become the fourth team member for The Arkansas CW Crew.  It's an opportunity that's fun and flexible and gives you a great community experience! 

This paid position puts you in the middle of the action at some of the year's biggest events. You will be meeting viewers form all walks of life and engaging fans online and in person.

Survivor Tractor at Williams Tractor in Fayetteville!

New Holland Agriculture is touring the Survivor Tractor.  It has arrived at Williams Tractor in Fayetteville!  
Co-owner Gary Tollett would like to encourage people to stop by this Wednesday, March 29th and check out the survivor tractor during customer appreciation day.  Miss America, Savvy Shields will also be attending the event between 10-11:30am.  All the proceeds with be going to the American Cancer Society.

The Survivor is a fully restored vintage tractor from 1939 dedicated to raising money for cancer research.  Each owner has purchased and then auctioned the tractor with 100% of the funds going to various charities.  

New Holland Agriculture purchased the Survivor in November of 2016.  It resulted in a $32,000 donation to the Ann B Barshinger Cancer Institute at Lancaster General Hospital.

This year starts a new journey for the Survivor Tractor with a yearlong campaign of fundraising throughout 2017.  To help fight against cancer, New Holland and CNH Industrial will match contributions up to $100,000 to donate to the American Cancer Society. 

New Holland Agriculture is encouraging people to go out to Williams Tractor 2501 N Shiloh Drive Fayetteville, Arkansas and take their picture next to the Survivor Tractor and share their stories of survival on social media by using #SurvivorTractor or by visiting Survivortractor.com.








It's Showtime at the Haxton!

It's showtime at the Haxton! A fundraiser event with silent auction to help raise funds for Brand New Mercies. This event will be taking place on April 1st, 2017.  Featuring  Los Angeles based classical hip-hop violinist, Opera singer, songwriter and producer Lucine Fyelon.  

Brand New Mercies will be a safe haven and recovery program where women can reclaim their lives and recover from addiction, abuse or homeless without being separated from their children.

The fundraiser will be on April 1, 2017 at the Haxton Road Studios, 222 SE 2nd ST Suite 100 Bentonville, Arkansas.  VIP reception starts at 5:30 pm and the general admission starts at 6:00 pm.
