George Chmiel makes it to Texas! Beastmode for the Brave

 George Chmiel continues his run across America for the Beastmode for the Brave run.  As of October 16th, George was 29 days into his run completing 899.82 miles of his two month journey.  George started his run across America on September 11th in San Diego, California.  

He has ran through California, Arizona, New Mexico and has reached Texas.  He will arrive in Arkansas later this week for a concert to benefit the Guardian for Heroes Foundation on Friday October 21st at Cross Church 6:30PM with Jeremy Camp

Interview with Mekhi Phifer form Frequency!

Drew got the opportunity to sit down with Mekhi Phifer, one of the stars of the new CW show "Frequency". Check out the interview below!

Xavier encourages Evie to carpe that diem, because he believes humankind has a mere eight months and twelve days until a runaway asteroid smacks us all into stardust. Evie must decide whether Xavier is certifiable and whether that even matters, if being with him means living her life more fully. 

Beastmode for the Brave Runner Makes it to New Mexico despite obsticles...

George Chmiel continues his run across America for the Beastmode for the Brave run.  As of October 4th, George was 22 days into his run completing 650.79 miles of his two month journey.  George started his run across America on September 11th in San Diego, California.  He has ran through California, Arizona and has now reached New Mexico.

Over the last couple of weeks, George has made it through a collapse on the Mexican border, being rushed by border patrol, rattlesnakes, flash flood, rock slide and massive lightning storm.  

Besides the obstacles George has been enduring, the team continues to run into obstacles also and they continue to press on with a "Whatever It Takes!" attitude.  Including their GMC from Everett Chevrolet here in Northwest Arkansas which has been getting them through the elements like a champ!

CW Fall Starts Today!

Primetime programming returns this week with returning heroes and some fresh faces! Don't miss the start of the fall season on The Arkansas CW!  

Starting tonight The Flash returns at 7pm followed by the series premiere of  No Tomorrow at 8pm.

Then on Wednesday Arrow returns for it's fifth season at 7pm followed by the series premiere of Frequency at 8pm.

BFF 2017 Film Submissions Open!

Film submission for the 3rd Annual Bentonville Film festival are now open. Go to Bentonvillefilmfestival.com for more details about the BFF submission guidelines and process.

Films accepted into the festival will be announced in March.

The Bentonville Film Festival will open on May 2nd and go through the May 7th.

Drew chats with band members from Kazha at Konsplosion

Kazha is a 3 piece rock band from Japan.  They have worked with world wide performers including Grammy award winner Bob James.   Lead Singer and bassist Kazuha Oda's work has appeared in iTunes top 100 charts in several different countries.  The band's first album was released in 2010 "Overture". Since then, Kazha has released another album "Evolution" in 2013 and "Stay" an EP in 2016. 

Kazha has been performing in world famous venues across the United States including A Go Go in Las Angeles, Rockhouse Live in Memphis, sharing the stages with Gilby Clarke, Linch Mob, Tantric and L.A. Guns.   Kazha performed in a packed room at Konsplosion 2016 in Fort Smith!  Drew had the honor of speaking with lead singer and bassist Kazuha Oda and guitarist Hideki Matsushige.  Check out their interview below.

Kazha is currently working out of Memphis, Tennessee on their new album with Grammy award winning engineer from "Up Town Funk" Boo Mitchell at Royal Studios.

10 days into Beastmode for the Brave Run

George Chmiel continues his run across america for the Beastmode for the Brave run.  He is 10 days into his run completing 343.97 miles of his two month journey. He will start his run back up on Day 11 from Benson, Arizona.  As he runs through the desert he continues to run into obstacles including ones from mother nature in his path.

7 days into Beastmode for the Brave Run

George Chmiel continues his run across america for the Beastmode for the Brave run. Seven days into his run he has completed 247.46 miles. He has started his run through the Arizona Desert.  After a doctors visit George has found unique way to adjust to his minor injuries.  

George continues to be positive throughout his rugged journey. He had his first river crossing.  He successfully crossing the Gila River on Day 7.

Behind the Scenes from the Beastmode for the Brave Run across America Day 4

On Day 4 extreme runner George Chmiel suffers intense pain in his left knee.  George stated in his post on instagram that his knee is looking like it is dislocated.

He said that his body is screaming to take the easy way out but he wont quit.  He continues on his journey across america. He will be making his way across Arizona this weekend.

First 51 hours of the Beastmode for the Brave Run across America

They had a crazy first two days!  Trailer disconnected on highway, toilet back-up and two overuse injuries in both legs.  He said the team is stronger because of it.  George also stated that the support has been incredible!

Sunday September 11th, 2016 the Beastmode For The Brave kicked off event starting his run across America.  He started his journey in San Diego.

Beastmode For The Brave Run Across America

One runner, one journey and one dedicated team on a mission. Their mission is to raise awareness for growing issues and get them the necessary medical and resource help our veterans need after returning home from battle.  They hope in the process they will inspire others to participate. The donations collected directly benefit American Sniper Chris Kyle's Guardian for Heroes Foundation.

The Runner:

George will run across America in 60 days!  Yes that you read correctly.  A sixty day run across the United States.  He is on a mission to pay homage to our Veterans and help bring awareness to the serious issues facing our american heroes when they return home from the horrors of battle.

He has a team of loyal patriots who have put their lives on hold to help with this 60 day run and provide support for George Chmiel.

George will run 50 miles per day for 60 days a total of 3,002 miles across 14 states.  There will be 6 events to benefit Guardian for Heroes Foundation that is helping treat the invisible wounds of war.

On October 21st George's route will bring him to Rogers, Arkansas and this will put him more than halfway through his journey.  He will run to Cross Church in Rogers, Arkansas for a benefit concert surrounded by veterans, current military and support from the entire Northwest Arkansas area.   You can join Beastmode for the Brave and Guardian for Heroes Foundation concert and honor our heroes.
