Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge Celebrates their 25th Anniversary

This year the Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge is celebrating it's 25th anniversary for providing a place for wildlife rescue animals.  They have rescued 490 animals in the past 25 years and are one of the top ten destinations in Arkansas.

TCWR has become one of the nation's leading big cat and bear sanctuaries. We had a chance to talk with Co-Founder and president Tonya Smith and Assistant Curator Laurie Vandorwal. Check out their interviews below and the gallery.

All the animals at Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge have been rescued.  They have more than 100 tigers, lions, leopards cougars and servals. Turpentine Creek receives no federal, state or city funding. They rely on donations and A small admission fee goes to the care of these animals.
